JHSIAN RULES

The student shall:

  • Speak in English at all times as it is the medium of instruction.
  • Procure prescribed books for the new session within a week of declaration of result.
  • Read the school diary regularly to be well-informed about the rules, discipline code etc.
  • Bring the school diary daily and make appropriate entries.
  • Make calls from the Reception with due permission in case of illness or any emergency.
  • Compensate damage to school property.
  • Switch off the lights and fans before leaving the classroom for assembly, P.T., computer, music, smart, art & craft class, library, etc.
  • Assemble on the upper field immediately after keeping the school bag in the classroom (before the morning assembly).
  • Carry the class pass/medical pass or a written permission in the school diary when out of the class.
  • Keep the classroom and school premises clean neat and tidy at all times.
  • Greet the Principal, teachers, supportive staff and people around.
  • Bring a leave note in the diary (leave record page) duly signed by the parents in case of one/two days leave. For leave exceeding two days, an application along with the medical certificate (if applicable) has to be submitted for Principal's sanction of leave. The entry is also to be made in the diary (leave record page).
  • Get the diary signed by the parents in case of a remark by the Principal/Vice Principal/ Headmistress or teacher.
  • Co-operate with the class monitor/student council members to ensure discipline in the School.
  • Be in time to school.
  • Do the given homework regularly, keep the note book/text books covered, neat and tidy.
  • Address all correspondence to the Principal with full name, class and section.
  • Give 48 hours prior notice when applying for a bonafide certificate.
  • Non-Vegetarian food is strictly prohibited in the school if found action will be taken by authorities.
  • Bring a written permission from the parents (to go back home on her own) in case of a stay back/picnic and duly endorsed by the teacher.
  • Inform lost or found property at the Reception.
  • Carry homemade food for tiffin (junk food is not allowed). Parents/relatives will not be allowed to bring the tiffin in case the student has forgotten to carry it with him/her.
  • Carry the bus pass if using the school bus, maintain discipline while travelling and not put his/her hand/head out of the window.
  • Not be permitted to travel by any bus other than the one allotted to him/her.
  • Not carry books, periodicals or any other material disapproved by the school/Principal.
  • Not scribble on walls and furniture.
  • Not leave the classroom in the absence of any teacher.
  • Not leave the school premises without the permission of the Principal.
  • Not carry cell phones/cameras/iPod or any other expensive gadget/showy belongings.
  • Not celebrate or hold any birthday party (strictly prohibited).
  • Not collect any money or present any gift to any staff member/friend.
